Graham and Carole our friends at Chichester Camera Club will be showing us different Audio-Visual shows demonstrating the effectiveness of combining photographic images, or video, with music, sound effects and occasional voice-over.

The venue for this month will be Winkworth Arboretum. I know we visited Winkworth earlier this year but we should now have the autumn. Daisy and I visited there recently and the colours had definitely ‘a way to go’ before being at their best.
Leo Rich ARPS DPAGB EFIAP/g APAGB, a “noted raconteur” and long-time judge and past-president of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain will be talking about his experiences in making the transition from film to digital.
We will meet at Spring Gardens Nursery Farm Shop/Cafe (as recommended by Jean MacWhirter). I suspect most of you already know it, but I have to admit to not really having been aware of it. However I called in there to suss it out and found them very welcoming and have booked a table for 10.
Members of the club will be telling us about a day when the photographic stars aligned for them. This could be that day when the light and subject was perfect or an image that was captured at that perfect moment in time.
Meet at the club at 9.30am, arriving at the Chichester CC Advanced Workers exhibition at North Mundham Village Hall for just after 10am. You may want to meet us there if you have other things on that day.
Bill’s talk will explore the work of a dozen or so photographers who have changed the way that we - as photographers - look at the world today. And if you are trying to guess who the photographer "Anna" is, try and think of one beginning with "Z", too, as she will also be featured.
Andrew will talk about what makes a great or good photograph. He will be looking at a range of historic and contemporary photography to identify aspects of photographs and notions to stimulate some concepts and ideas for subject matter and projects for our own photography.
The February Photoshoot will be in Shoreham-by-Sea. We will meet at 2pm at the Adur Recreation Ground car park BN43 5LT, where parking is free. The plan is very loose, with possible options being the Ferry Bridge, the town centre and the houseboats.
On 30th March at 10am, we will meet at Chichester Camera Club's Spring Photographic Exhibition. This is being held at Tangmere Village Centre, Malcolm Road, Tangmere PO20 2HS.
After an hour or so, we will move on to Tangmere Aviation Museum PO20 2ES.
We will meet at 10:30 at the lovely dog-friendly Highdown Tearooms, which I am delighted to say reopened fairly recently. This, thanks to public outcry at their having to close last year, having been originally denied a renewal of their lease I understand.

Hints and Tips III will be on Tuesday 23rd April from 2-4pm at The Old School, School Lane, Storrington, RH20 4LL. We will be using the small hall, the name of which I will confirm at a later date.

Meet at the club car park at 11am to head for Spithandle Lane for an hour or so. Onwards for lunch at the Jungle tearooms in Ashington if required. Sharing cars is recommended.
This is an evening where several members show their work on separate tables. Each person lays out their prints or uses a laptop to talk members and visitors through their work. After the refreshment break the tables are manned by another group of members.
Alexander Dennis are holding a free charity Open Day at their Bus Chassis works in Guildford. The Open Day runs from 10-5pm, with free parking at Allianz Insurance in Guildford.
This will take place at The Old School Hall from 14:00 to 16:00. If there are any specific topics that you would like discussed please let me know.

Our Annual General Meeting including the Presentation of Awards. This will be followed by a social get together. To help with the refreshments we would be grateful if members could bring a small plate of food with surnames A-L bringing savoury and M-Z sweet.
