with Dean's help, the next coffee morning has been arranged to allow members to visit the SCC photographic exhibition.
It will be at 10.30 am on Wednesday 11 September at "The Café at the Old Workshop - Sullington Manor Farm"
Hugh runs a Fine Art photography studio in South West London, specialising in reproduction photography, and an archiving service for artists.
Alan and Jane were members of f8 formed in 2012 to focus on Western Counties Photographic Federation and National events. It was very successful and built a national reputation.
The English Martyrs Catholic Church Goring is famous for its ceiling - a reproduction of the Sistine Chapel in Rome. The difference is that we are allowed to photograph this one.
We'll meet at The Bluebird Cafe Ferring, for tea, coffee and cakes.
NOTE THIS MEETING WILL BE IN THE MAIN HALL (NOT THE CHESSWOOD ROOM) AND WILL COMMENCE AT 19:45.

As there will be a firework display adjacent to the village hall on this evening we have postponed Peter Merry's talk until 13th February 2025 - so there will now be no meeting on this evening.

How to make photographic sense of an extreme travel holiday?
Spending a month travelling through Europe on the railways is not everyone's idea of fun.
But for me it was a joy that was all the sweeter after multiple periods of lockdown and travel restrictions.
Mike's presentation about his Falkland Islands adventure features stills, video and music carefully chosen to reflect the character of the animals he photographed.
A walk in Brighton/Hove starting at 10.30 for a couple of hours or so of photography with the focus being the forthcoming PI set subject (City/Urban) and maybe stopping for a coffee along the way.

Composition - how to construct an image that will work and how to break the rules. Why do some pictures seem to have a natural beauty or “rightness”? How light works in composition and how other elements such as colour, tone and texture all have a place.
