Paul O’Toole will be appraising our projected images without giving any marks or selecting a winner. Paul will also be sharing some of his own images, so the critique isn’t one way.

Graham and Carole our friends at Chichester Camera Club will be showing us different Audio-Visual shows demonstrating the effectiveness of combining photographic images, or video, with music, sound effects and occasional voice-over.

The venue for this month will be Winkworth Arboretum. I know we visited Winkworth earlier this year but we should now have the autumn. Daisy and I visited there recently and the colours had definitely ‘a way to go’ before being at their best.
Leo Rich ARPS DPAGB EFIAP/g APAGB, a “noted raconteur” and long-time judge and past-president of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain will be talking about his experiences in making the transition from film to digital.
We will meet at Spring Gardens Nursery Farm Shop/Cafe (as recommended by Jean MacWhirter). I suspect most of you already know it, but I have to admit to not really having been aware of it. However I called in there to suss it out and found them very welcoming and have booked a table for 10.
Members of the club will be telling us about a day when the photographic stars aligned for them. This could be that day when the light and subject was perfect or an image that was captured at that perfect moment in time.

Bill’s talk will explore the work of a dozen or so photographers who have changed the way that we - as photographers - look at the world today. And if you are trying to guess who the photographer "Anna" is, try and think of one beginning with "Z", too, as she will also be featured.
Andrew will talk about what makes a great or good photograph. He will be looking at a range of historic and contemporary photography to identify aspects of photographs and notions to stimulate some concepts and ideas for subject matter and projects for our own photography.

This is an evening where several members show their work on separate tables. Each person lays out their prints or uses a laptop to talk members and visitors through their work. After the refreshment break the tables are manned by another group of members.
