Follow up to the macro shoot.
We will meet at Thakeham Village Hall on Thursday 17th August, from 7.30pm to 10pm, usual fee of £2.50 per person to pay for the room. Hints and Tips meetings are usually in the afternoon but throughout the school holidays the room is fully booked during the day. The theme for the meeting is Macro Photography following yesterdays Macro Photoshoot held at Pulborough Brooks which seems to have been enjoyed by those who attended. Thanks for the responses everyone.
We encourage members to enter and introduce their macro images with positive critique from other members and group discussion of macro techniques, camera settings, light, artistic license, composition (even software and editing). As I’m not sure how many people will attend I suggest a maximum of ten images per person but this might have to be adjusted as we go. The meeting is open to all not just those who attended yesterday’s macro photoshoot and images can be of any subject, taken anywhere at any time. If you can’t make it but would like to enter some images thats fine. We are not going to be too specific as to the definition of ‘macro’, lets leave it as 'producing photographs of small items larger than life size'. This is not a competition, it’s about what is meaningful to you.
