We'll meet at 3.30pm at the West Itchenor Village car park (Chichester Harbour Conservancy). I think the cost will be £4.20 as there is no 3-hour option. From there we can take a leisurely, circular walk east, through the village, along the shoreline, west through farmland and back along the harbour shoreline. That's a walk of 4 miles. The last stretch is facing west, so if there is a visible sunset we will be in the right place at the right time...well that's the plan!!
For anyone wanting to complete a shorter walk, the Itchenor Road provides a shortcut, making the walk more like 2 miles.
There are toilets attached to the harbour office, just a short walk from the car park; but during the walk bush-craft tactics will be required.
I suggest that we each bring a drink and refreshments as there does not appear to be anything open after 4pm on a Tuesday.
I attach a file with detailed information about parking and the route.
