David Smith has been fortunate to visit southern Africa on numerous occasions specialising in safari photography.  His talk shows examples of the wildlife of Botswana, Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya and Zimbabwe with some serious conservation messages.  Tips on equipment and techniques are mentioned as well as some stories of very close encounters.  All of the images were taken on short trips on game drives from safari lodges without any special access so are images available to any amateur with a bit of luck and persistence.

David is a former President of Woking Photographic Society and the current President of the Surrey Photographic Association.  He is both a judge and a lecturer.
