We will meet at 10:30 at the lovely dog-friendly Highdown Tearooms, which I am delighted to say reopened fairly recently. This, thanks to public outcry at their having to close last year, having been originally denied a renewal of their lease I understand. They don’t take bookings but are unfazed at the prospect of 10 or so of us descending on them unannounced. If it’s warm enough we might sit outside.
For those who are not familiar with the set up, the tearooms are immediately adjacent to the lovely Highdown Gardens to which entry is free. The weather would appear be settled and there should be some beautiful spring flowers and blossom. Also adjacent is easy access to Southdowns walks with very good views.
